We were given the challenge of developing an online activation experience to increase fan engagement by compiling user generated content to amplify the culmination of the 2015 Telstra Premiership season.
THE OVERVIEW
With NRL Grand Finals being one of the biggest sporting events in Australia, we gave footy fans the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, earn bragging rights amongst their mates and show support for their team by 'making a call' and sharing it through social media.

To promote healthy competition between mates by giving them a taste of glory and the ability to predict the winning outcome of the finals game.
THE INNOVATION
The experience facilitated tens of thousands of unique users and dominated social conversations with the hashtag #NRLGF reaching over 2.5m Facebook feeds. Through social coverage, the NRL received record breaking reach in a live TV audience that skyrocketed to over 4.2m viewers.
THE EMOTION
The prediction tool generated banter and conversation and also gave our audience a sense of pride and glory.

The Solution
We created and hosted a standalone responsive microsite to make content easily accessible on all devices. With a graphical score prediction tool, users could craft their own unique grand final prediction image, use player photos emblazoned with their favorite team colours and share their creations through social media.
In this online experience, users could choose a finals game, predict the score for each team, choose an image of a player from the winning and losing teams, overlay their profile picture from Facebook and then share the artwork across social networks.
